PV Sindhu as Deputy Collector in Andhra

Badminton champion and Olympics silver medalist in women’s singles PV Sindhu has got another reason to cheer. PV Sindhu has been offered job by Andhra Pradesh government and the 20-year-old sportswoman has accepted it.

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu had offered Sindhu as Group-I officer in AP Government to which she obliged the offer and formally sent letter expressing her interest to join Group-I service in the state. Special Chief Secretary LV Subramanyam has corroborated the same.
It’s learnt that Pusarla Venkata Sindhu would soon be appointed as ”Deputy Collector” and TDP government in AP is busy preparing orders for the same.
Sindhu, who’s currently working in the public sector oil company, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) as deputy manager (sports), will soon be joining once she receives orders from AP Government. Besides the job offer, the Andhra Pradesh government has already given Sindhu a cash award of Rs 3 crore, besides a 1,000 square yard residential plot in the new capital region of Amaravati.
